Bayou Sara Swing Bridge

Located in Mobile, AL

Steward Machine was responsible for a complete mechanical and structural package.  This consisted of a center pivot bearing, balance wheels, internal rack gear and tracks, drive mechanism, center & end locks, and structural steel, including a center pivot girder.  Steward Machine’s expert engineers also provided a custom-designed grillage to facilitate the float-in and alignment of the bridge, which was manufactured in-house.  To assist the customer with the final installment, Steward Machine provided mechanical installation services and assistance in the mechanical commissioning of the bridge.
