In addition to the markets highlighted on other pages of our site, Steward has been a reliable supplier to numerous other industries. Located in the heart of the Southeast’s booming automobile industry, Steward has the proven ability to serve this market by quickly responding to emergency breakdowns and working closely with the automaker’s engineers in the rehabilitation of their machinery.
The City of Milwaulkee came to Steward Machine for help with the movable roof system at Miller Park, home of the Milwaulkee Brewers. The bogeys, which are the operating mechanisms that facilitate the opening and closing of the roof, were failing and needed to be replaced. Steward Machine fabricated ten new bogeys that weighed between forty and sixty tons each . They were delievered to Miller Park by Steward Machine ahead of schedule so as to better facilitate the tight window the contractor had due to the Major League’s schedule and the harsh winter in Milwaulkee.
Steward Machine has also worked with the aerospace industry, most notably the machining of test stands used to test the first Russian rocket engine on U.S. soil. Also, we have manufactured test stands for jet engines and transportation rings for the pre-assembly of rocket stages.
We also have a very good relationship with the oil industry. We are consistently working on and manufacturing various components for offshore drilling platforms, including those used in the summer of 2006 to find one of the world’s largest reserves in the Gulf of Mexico.
