Quality Control

Steward Machine’s Inspection Dept has over 100 years of experience in Quality Control, and with Inspectors working both shifts, Steward can guarantee to continue the level of quality our customers have come to expect.

As a result of our Inspection Department’s extensive knowledge and equipment resources, Steward Machine is AISC Certified in the following categories:

Steward Machine Plant 2:

  • Certified Bridge Fabrication – Advanced (Major)
    Hydraulic Steel Structures
    Fracture Critical Endorsement
    Sophisticated Paint Endorsement

Steward Machine’s Inspection staff has extensive knowledge with the fabrication and machining of complex bridge components, hydraulic structures, and various other components used throughout the industry. These machinery and fabrication components are verified by our American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspectors and Mechanical Inspectors. Steward Machine also has Level I, II, and III Nondestructive Testing Inspectors that are certified in accordance with SNT-TC-1A and ANSI/ASNT CP-189. The Nondestructive testing methods performed by Steward Machine are Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and Visual Testing (VT). Radiographic Testing (RT) is also performed using a third-party source when required by the contract.

In addition to the above credentials, Steward is a Standing Member of The Society of Protective Coatings .
